The river overflowed its banks in the village and on both sides of the Archibald Bridge. Many village residents were forced to deal with their flooded basements and sump pumps on Christmas. The weather advisory also included flood warnings for Granville and Whitehall where the Mettawee River also spilled over its banks. Upper Turnpike Road and Gray Lane were closed in Whitehall on December 25 due to the Mettawee rising to more than a foot above flood stage. The roads remained closed until early afternoon on Friday, December 26.
