From time to time the team understood that they
couldn't cope without them and they took the
decision to apologize and get bach Alan and Joan
to the team. There in Bletchley Park they worked
all together again with the power of their minds
against Germans! Alan was the handworker and
the biggest mind of all!
Due to his high intelligence, Alan found a way to
break the Enigma within just weeks of
arriving back at Bletchley Park. He got the idea
from the Poles and created the device which was
named ''Bombe''. The Bombe, with an
enhancement suggested by his fellow worker
Gordon Welshman. Even though their hard work
and great success, they quickly ran out of
resources. They soon realized that they were
getting nowhere, so they decided to write directly
to Winston Churchill.
Winston Churchill (1874-1965) served as the prime
minister of Great Britain from 1940 to 1945 and
again from 1951 to 1955
