In the cloud context, a Cloud Transformation Office yields an effective cloud adoption strategy. It defines the characteristics that determine the stage of maturity, transforma- tion activities within each stage that must be completed to move to the next stage, and outcomes that are achieved across multiple stages of organizational maturity. We devel- oped the Cloud Transformation Office to assess companies across three focus areas: service operations, technology and human capital. The process is a simple gap analysis. The initial step is to assess the current state. Then, based on the organization’s existing cloud capacity and readiness, a future state is identified and recommendations devel- oped to achieve the “To-Be” state. It is a power tool to set your cloud journey in the right direction. Key Activity 3: Conduct a stakeholder analysis Assessing and profiling your key stakeholders is imperative. By definition, transforma- tion means challenging shared beliefs, and potentially breaking organizational infra- structures designed not to change. A systematic and structured approach to managing your stakeholders’ interests helps to ensure understanding and commitment to the Technology Human Capital ty / Risk / pliance Process / Operation Model Automation Run / Operate Staffing / Talent / Skills Communication / Culture Change Compliant le Services Proactively Managed Services Applications Auto-Scale / Auto-Heal Automated Service Optimization Industry Leadership in Cloud / DevOps Skills Quality of Service Focused Delivery ns deploys w/i Framework Continuous Application Changes Application & Infastructure Provisioning End to End Cloud Service Supportable Optimized Cloud / DevOps Skills Outcome Based Customer Oriented Delivery ure deploys w/i Framework Self Service Infrastructure Changes Infrastructure as Code End to End Cloud Service Supportable Federated Cloud / DevOps Skills Crosstraining Application to Cloud Teams Partnering rol Framework rational Automated Service Provisioning Unified Automation Framework Cloud Service Patterns Operational Cloud / DevOps Skills Maturing Initial Team Demonstrate New Operational Model ITIL Controlled Infastructure Automation Framework Unique Operations per Application Cloud / DevOps Skills Devloping Cloud Vision and Objectives are Outlined nce Controls umented Transformation Office SPECIAL EDITION 2019 | THE DOPPLER | 21
