Association of Retired Attorneys of Sarasota

Sarasota has a unique organization for attorneys who are no longer actively practicing law – the Association of Retired Attorneys of Sarasota ( ARAS ). We know of no other organization like it . For many years the ARAS has joined with the Sarasota Bar Association in performing Pro Bono work in our community . Pre-Covid examples were Law Day in the Schools and the Booker Law Academy . ARAS sponsors monthly luncheon programs with outside speakers ( currently virtual ) and is a great way to share legal interests . We Retired Attorneys invite those currently practicing attorneys who are contemplating retirement to contact us about joining our organization upon retirement . Our web site is retiredattorneyssarasota . net or you can call the president , Steve Sturm , at 941-487-7176 .
