ADVANCING PROFESSIONALISM , PROMOTING PRACTICE DEVELOPMENT , AND FOSTERING FELLOWSHIP IN THE SARASOTA LEGAL COMMUNITY
Since 2007 , the Richard R . Garland Endowed Diversity Scholarship Program has provided scholarships to minority law school students . All scholarship recipients are mentored and encouraged to return to the Sarasota community for future employment upon graduation . These students are , indeed , the “ Faces of Change ” for the Sarasota legal community — future advocates , counselors , judges , mediators , and community leaders .
