I thought of the story of Hansel and Gretel. They put down pieces of bread to find their way back home.
And yet, God is the One who put those breadcrumbs out for me to lead me home.
Discovering God’ s will for my life felt impossible. If I am being honest, I was not ready to hear what He had to say, nor was I paying attention.
To discern His will for your life, you have to be in a position to listen. Are we praying and asking? Are we seeking His face? Are we consistent? Do we REALLY want to know?

God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. When we seek His face more than His hand, we find great joy, peace, and instructions!
I prayed. I was transparent and confessed that I had no idea what He wanted me to do. I asked Him to make it so plain that it would be hard to miss.
I laid down my will. I asked God to change my heart to desire His will more than my own.
I got serious with reading the Word, daily. Non-negotiable.
I listened. I kept my ears and eyes open.
I was expecting. God is a good Father and gives good gifts shaped like bread!
He showed me where to go, what to buy, and whom to speak to.
I am about to finish my first year teaching. I cannot thank Him enough for the breadcrumbs.
