Although things may look bleak today, the GOOD NEWS is that there is a BALM IN GILEAD! Our loving, merciful and kind Father has not forgotten about us. While He allows things to shake out and we watch the dust settle, because it will settle, our priorities should be accessing and maximizing our resources through harsh reality checks, identifying wasteful squandering behaviors, living within( and under) our means, and being a blessing to those who need a HAND UP not necessarily a handout. However, during this Lenten Season, Alms Giving should be in the forefront of our minds. Piety is not overrated. People have needs and those with resources are blessed to be a blessing; that is the Bible, not a political stance.
Financial Literacy in this country is not accessible to most of us and it is absent from the education system altogether. This information has been kept from many underserved communities, and it is my personal mantra as well as the task of my comrades to bring“ good tidings of joy” to all who will listen. Those with an ear, let them hear!
This issue is thought-provoking. It is packed with great back-to-back content. Chords will be struck. Ideologies will be challenged. Opinions will be plentiful. All of this is INTENTIONAL. It is high time some REAL conversations are had by God fearing, intelligent, empathetic individuals that collaborative love inspired solutions are offered. April is Financial Literacy Month and here at DIVA Zone Magazine- since our inception- we have taken on the charge of dealing with uncomfortable issues, ensuring equal access to quality vital information, serving the underserved, and speaking life into what may seem to be dismal realities. The Word of God teaches that we are known as His Disciples by our love for one another. Our love offering to our sisters and brothers through this issue is shown through RICH information, encouragement, and instruction to aid us onto the path of Good Stewardship, because to Waste Not, is to Want Not!
Let’ s face it folks, this nation needs healing on many levels. This year that we have come to know as 2025 has been anything but uneventful. Many families are concerned about the present and frightened about the future. The idea of job security is a thing of the past. Many hardworking people are stressed beyond measure even though they contribute more than their fair share to society.
