Buttercup
Why we love it. Like the beautiful little flower from which it takes its name, this brilliant hue is both pretty and bold. Buttercup was used by designer, Derek Lam who said, "It's a strong color and it requires an equally strong sense of style."
How to wear it Lam says that soft fabrics make it wearable. And for those who are too yellowbellied to try it top to toe, suggests "a strappy shoe or a sporty handbag. Make it look spontaneous."
PLAYS WELL WITH Neutrals such as white and linen are ideal for subduing this color. Classic navy lends a refined vibe, perfect for evening. But if you'd rather amp up its vibrancy, marry it to kelly green for some visual punch.
