The Discerner Thomas Strumpel
I was born in a place along the Rhine River and then some 20 years later , I studied art in Cologne , a hub for art and artists in Germany at that time . I began with drawings but now my focus is on painting . I work with very diluted watercolours , which I apply multiple layers , until depth is reached in the picture . It creates a subtle colour play . The texture of the canvas is evident and becomes part of the painting . I now live in Zurich , Switzerland and in 2015 Elten & Elten Gallery presented my work for which I enjoyed the exposure .
