An integrated grazing extension program continues to roll out in 2020 to support a culture of stewardship that enables land managers to be effective custodians of the land. There is a strong focus on peer to peer learning, cluster groups, demonstration sites and focus group activity to deliver accelerated progress in increasing stewardship and improving the viability of the BBB grazing community. Some of the activities include: • Low Stress Stock Handling • Forage budgeting • • Farm track maintenance Herd management and pregnancy testing • Property mapping • • Weed and feral animal management Pasture management and productivity • Succession planning • Leadership program • Landholder sub catchment and cluster group meetings and workshops • Soil testing and soil health • Livestock nutrition • Machinery hygiene Jim Lindsay has hosted multiple low stress stock handling schools in the BBB. Landcare specialist and plant operator Darryl Hill has delivered erosion control grader training to the project’s pool of plant contractors, interested landholders and also mines, utilities and council staff. 27
