National History Day makes history come alive for students by engaging them in the discovery of the historical, cultural and social experiences of the past. Through hands-on experiences and infusing digital tools, students gain valuable skills which are transferable to any setting.
7th Grade Teacher, Mrs. Wellsby and Instructional Technology Coach, Crystaline Wilcox collaborated to develop two student projects to enroll in the NHD competition. The first project consists of an interactive Exhibit which depicts the history of churches along the Underground Railroad with a focus on the Michigan St. Baptist Church in Buffalo.
