So I have to admit before starting to play
this game it was not even on my radar. This
was simply due to a previous title from
Techland which was “Dead Island”, now
other people will be in the same frame
of mind as me when they hear it is the
same company behind the development of
both games. So I went with pre-conceived
notions of what exactly this game was
going to be like, and I will put my hands up
and say ..... I was extremely impressed and
shocked at this end result.
The best way I can think to review this
game is use comparisons to Dead Island,
and hopefully not use them too much.
Though with a new console generation
and new tech to be played with it was
interesting to see what Techland could
deliver to the Xbox One.

Following a similar path to Dead Island;
both games are first person action games
in which your objectives are to survive a
zombie outbreak. Though this one takes
place in the city of Harran.
Now the setting is fictitious and the game
has an opening cut scene (previous to main
menu) in the style of a news report which
brings the player up to speed on events and
setting. You see a clear cut scene with some
very nice visuals helping the player get into
the frame of mind for the game. When you
start a new game you are given a briefing
from the GRE (Global Relief Effort) as you
are one of their agents being dropped into
Harran on a classified mission. You start
off with a really nice set piece of jumping
out of an airplane and parachuting into the
city, only to be ambushed while landing.
