paper parched
for pen’s kiss,
poems fly out of mouthes
in lieu of cool ink
the words kick up dust
just like new wind
and feels like aloe
touch-ing sunburnt skin
eclipse the sun,
and blue’s the new pink
tripping on carcasses
the fall makes you think-
how a basin so great
might’ve been pacific
if only old god
wasn’t so sadistic.
