Cheryl’s nuts! … Pistachio nuts, that is! Sharon found a photo of this on Tole Painters Unite (a Facebook group) which is from Cheryl Jones’ Facebook page, and she really liked the idea of using pistachio nuts to create decorative crows. She made these and used them on pots and kettles, also painted a black bauble so they can be hung around the house for those who like to decorate the house at Halloween. If you were having a dinner party, they could be attached to serviette rings.   A special thank you to Cheryl Jones, the designer, for allowing us to share the instruction step photos with you all. There is plenty of time to eat all those nuts and get painting ready for next year’s Halloween (but you may have to munch quicker for this Christmas!). 1 - This 'murder' of crows were sent to me by someone that eats them and saves all the open / empty shells 2 - All shells are whole- NOT glued. There are empty shells in every bag- or sometimes you can wiggle out the but! 3 - Only four colours - Warm White, Lamp Black, Moon Yellow, Raw Sienna 4 - First paint beaks yellow (I dry them on my hi tech drying rack) 5 - Heads black
