Chairman’s Christmas message Festive Greetings everyone! I hope you're keeping warm and cosy during this cold snap! Thinking back over the past year and our last convention which was enjoyed by so many of you, I am looking forward to our next get together in June.   I am sure we'll have fun - we always do. I love Christmas and really do look forward to getting the decorations out, especially the hand painted ones.  Each year, I design a new bauble for my grandchildren and add their names on it, which they still like to receive even though they are all over 11 years of age.  I love seeing them all on their tree too.  This season is definitely my favourite time and meeting up with friends and family.  I also look forward to getting some free time over the Christmas period to paint more new designs and I hope you will have fun painting my Christmas Bauble. If you'd like to have a go I would be delighted - I am sure Kim would love to receive photos for the newsletter (he's had enough of bears!) I would like to thank the committee - Julie, Kim, Vanessa, Clare. Anne and Rowena for all their continued input, enthusiasm, interest and unstinting support. Have a very Happy Christmas Everyone xx Convention classes for 2020 After what seemed like a hundred hours discussion, we are pleased to be able to announce the Prudy Vanier classes for our 2020 convention. Day 1 - Friday - Butterfly painted over decoupaged map (the map will be British, not of US!). Day 2 - Saturday - Two half-day sessions, focussing on techniques to develop your skills: a) - Fruit b) - Leaves The techniques you learn will give you the skills to paint pictures of your own design with fruits and leaves - a range of pattern packs will be on sale so that will give you the opportunity to put the skills to good use. *Please note: these two half day classes will be teaching techniques to paint fruit and leaves - you will not be painting a complete project. Please ask if you need more information. Day 3 - Sunday - White Lilies on canvas board. Convention will be Friday 5/Saturday 6/Sunday 7 June 2020 at the Ibis Hotel, Rugby East (Crick).
