The three teams they hosted
– New Zealand, Australia
and South Africa – finished
in the top three spots. As
one of The Lensbury’s
mantras is ‘a great place for
team-building’, it certainly
did what it says on the tin.
Bookings for corporate team
building events have spiralled
in 2016.

A
s with all hotels and
venues, the changing of
the seasons usually brings a
change in business. One
venue which this rule
applies to, perhaps more
than most, is The Lensbury
in Teddington. For a venue
that already operates as a
Premium Leisure Club,
Conference Centre, Events
Venue and 171 Bedroom
Hotel, it was a big step to
stretch their business model
to include becoming an
official Team Base at Rugby
World Cup 2015.
The difference between
providing a picture-perfect
setting for some pretty high
profile weddings and balancing
the training and nutritional
needs of 32 man squads of
man-mountains couldn’t be

service ran faultlessly. General
Manager, Ivor Turner, said, “The

guests in 2016.” Indeed,

The venue has also played host
to several charity fundraisers.
They hosted a Gala Dinner for
the Wooden Spoon charity in
aid of Rugby Tots and were very
proud to help Pancreatic
Cancer UK raise funds at their
Gala Dinner in The Wimbledon
Suite.

conferences and of course
parties. Spring weddings by the
rose garden are also very
popular.
We hear that preparations are
now fully under-way for the
35th Annual Summer Ball on
Friday 1st July, which is always
one of the highlights of The
Lensbury year. With top class
food, music and spectacular
fireworks it is a very special
evening.
If you haven’t been to The
Lensbury yet, it’s probably an
excellent time to try it.
