Fashion Evening
On the evening of
Thursday 13th October my friends and I had the pleasure of attending the Good Look Fashion Show Festival, organised by the Young Tiffany Circle on behalf of the British Red Cross. Boiler House, part of The Old Truman Brewery was the perfect mix of urban / cool and what else would you expect from a fashion event in the heart of Shoreditch.
We were greeted with a bag filled with delicious goodies and a complimentary glass of wine to quench our thirst while we perused the stalls. There was an inspiring collection of clothing and accessories of which the stand out favourite of mine was Chalk Jewellery. Influenced heavily by architectural shapes and geometric patterns, these bold statement pieces immediately caught my eye.
Outside in the courtyard was a selection of food stalls including Korean BBQ, fresh egg pasta and my personal choice, an Argentinian steak salad … with extra steak. Having re-fuelled, the catwalk was about to start so we headed on inside.
The high ceiling and original features of the Truman chimney made for a stunning backdrop while guest DJ Carly Wilford ensured the models had the perfect soundtrack. It was great to see so many emerging London-based designers showcasing their collections; it felt like my own slice of what London Fashion Week had to offer.
Great to see so many London-based designers.
The Young Tiffany Circle is a powerful international network of women committed to helping the British Red Cross continue its vital work and they certainly put on an impressive event.
