After a disastrous arson attack in 1973 gutted much of the Church, architects were instructed to not only renovate the Church, but also to design extra space to accommodate the ever-increasing congregation, as well as the local community. The result is a stunning Church with a number of spaces available for
Bishop West Chapel’ s beautiful stained glass window. all kinds of events. These include a wonderful outside terrace, with magical views of Putney Bridge and the Thames. and‘ The Putney Pantry’ a bright welcoming café, serving all home-made seasonal food, and run by the marvellous chef, Issa Cissokho.
The Church itself seats up to 350 people and is available for concerts, conferences and talks, subject to approval.
The Cromwell Room is situated at the east end of the Church behind sound proofed sliding glass doors. Carpeted, and with natural light and

ventilation, it has space for up to 40 people seated.
The Library, a small quiet room on the first floor with direct access to the east facing outdoor terrace, is ideal for one-to-one meetings or up to 10 to 12 people seated. A piano can also be provided for musical rehearsals.
The Godly Play Room is a space at the east end of the Church on the first floor. Carpeted, and with natural light and ventilation, it has space for up to 40 people seated. This peaceful Chapel is only suitable for gentle activities and has a‘ no food, drink or shoes’ policy.
The Terrace is a wonderful outdoor space on the first floor, with magnificent views of the river and surrounding area. It is perfect for a reception before dinner. Looking out over the Thames on a glorious summer evening, with a glass of bubbly in your hand, is a great start to any event!
The Lancaster Hall is a large, light, airy space above the Putney Pantry, which has a fully equipped kitchen and access to the terrace and the other rooms on the first floor. It seats 100 theatre style, 80 for dinner and 200 for a reception. Windows cover two sides of the room, with a third leading into the gallery above the Church. It is a very special room, which is a complete blank canvas, making it a perfect place for every type of event. Issa will create exciting, bespoke menus for you and provide friendly, capable, waiting staff.
The Arch is a selfcontained creative space, actually under Putney Bridge, which
has direct access to the gardens leading down to the river. It is ideal for small exhibitions or creative arts, with space for up to 20 people.
