T he 37th annual Summer Ball at The Lensbury was another huge success. It was lovely to enjoy the summer heat while it lasted on the banks of the Thames and we were happy to see a great turnout of members, guests, and VIPs. Arrival drinks were enjoyed in the sunshine on our terrace and decking while pianist Paul Grainger played the piano. The festivities continued into the night. Dinner, as in past years, was a sumptuous buffet of delights; from an array of salads, hors d’oeuvre and seafood to main courses of roast meats, curries and fish – something for everyone. Musical accompaniment was provided by Orchestra Vitae with accompanying singers providing modern takes on classic hits.
