we plummet in darkness,
evil-anointed,
down through black smoke
of oak & ash.
Can blood satisfy—raw,
red where he pierces?
Can I worship,
eye to eye,
such terrible, black holiness?
Krista Canterbury Adams has studied poetry at Ohio Dominican
University and The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Her
poem “Resurrection” was published in print and online. She also has
a six-poem series that was printed this past spring in AHF
Magazine & published in Carmina Magazine’s March edition. Her
work is always inspired by Anne Rice, Poe, H.D. & Algernon
