“Whatever you need, My Lord Vaistian, I shall see
that it is carried out to the letter.”
Vaistian steepled his fingers on the desk before
him, his golden-brown eyes surveying Lazarius for a
moment. “There is a certain vampire that I need dealt
with. He has become too close to Shizuka. Well… both of
them have, and we cannot allow that, now can we?”
Lazarius knew better than to argue. “Of course
not. Tell me who he is, and I will dispose of him
immediately.”
“His name is Viken, or at least that is the name he
is using now.” Vaistian reached into the top right drawer
of his desk and took out a small oval framed painting.
“This is his true form. But he has changed himself
somewhat in order to hide his true identity.”
Taking the framed painting offered him, Lazarius
looked down at the figure and was shocked to see eyes
that were so light a blue they appeared almost see-through.
The strong jaw and flowing silver hair told him all he
needed to know: the man in this picture was a pureblood.
Oh shit. This is not going to end well.
“Who is the second person that has become too
close to your intended, My Lord? Surely, you do not mean
the child, Pandim?” Lazarius asked, trying to calm his
nerves over the factor that he was just given the most
impossible job of his life.
“No. I am talking about the other vampire who
has recently come into her life - Kaienji Zanryu. He seems
to have feelings for my love, but I will deal with him
myself, soon enough.”
