invitation back to Giselle Menendez’s dressing room after
a three-encore performance. The dressing room was
crowded with dignitaries, other performers and the star’s
attendants, but the three strikingly handsome friends in
their finest tuxedos drew Miss Menendez’s attention
immediately. Like a moth to the flame, she fluttered
towards them, waving off the praises of her other guests
and dismissing her assistants attempts to serve her.
“Gentlemen,” she greeted them breathlessly, “I hope you
enjoyed the evening’s performance.”
“Most assuredly,” replied Nathan.
“Senorita,” said Elliot, taking her hand and planting a
gentle kiss on the inside curve of her wrist, “we were
enchanted and now only wish to return the favor.” She
laughed delicately at his flirtation and was oh so easily
ensnared. The four chatted amicably about very little until
the other guests slowly began to drift from the dressing
room and depart realizing that Senorita Menendez had no
intention of sharing her time with any but the three
strangers.
“Allow us to escort you,” invited Nathan, “to a late supper
beneath the stars.”
“Oh my,” gushed Giselle, “all three of you? Why I shall be
reviled by all the other women there for not sharing.” She
was obviously most pleased by this development and could
not wait to see the jealous looks that would undoubtedly
come her way.
