From The Editor To You
Welcome to our bigger and even brighter issue of Daddy and Family Magazine - a celebration of all things family!
This issue we recap on the amazing Daddy and Family Expo, held in Winter Park Florida in June, and the coveted MEGA Dads Awards ceremony, that featured the Celebrity MEGA Dad 2015, WWE Superstar Titus O’Neil! Don’t forget to view the video of the national TV coverage that the Expo received, viewed by over 4 million people!
We wish to say a big ‘Thank YOU!” to all of the sponsors, exhibitors and vendors (big and small) who came to join the party and support the biggest modern event and movement for 21st Century dads on the planet! Our #dadexpo MEGA Dads Twitter party gained an audience of 9.6 million, demonstrating that dads and moms everywhere see the need for greater father involvement. It has been truly awesome to see our seed of an idea grow beyond our wildest expectations into a massive oak tree and forest of support, and we have been shown love and support from all quarters of society!
We are already planning the 2016 Expo and MEGA Dad Awards and incredibly we already have exhibitors signed up! If you would like to see your favorite business, people, organizations and speakers show their support for dads, let us know and we’ll contact them! Don’t forget to sign up on our website for our newsletters so that you don’t miss out on surprises, promotions and earlybird tickets, as well as for details on our soon-to-be launched i-radio channels!
And so…
This issue we are delighted to welcome contributors from our friends at The Men’s Health Network, and in coming issues we will be assisting them to raise awareness about family health from a male perspective. Statistics show that men face as many serious potential health issues as women, but unlike the ladies there is little or no national framework of support to educate them about these risks. We aim to change that quickly!
We also have a special feature on the health issues that our teens face from binge drinking, an often overlooked area of teen education, and what we can all do to lessen those risks.
Finally, please take a moment to support the advertisers in this magazine and supporters listed on our website – they enable us to bring you the very best events, content and advice for free, and without them we could not make this happen. Many of these businesses are small, focus on quality and are family-owned - but all of our sponsors them share our ethics, so do visit their websites and if you are thinking of making a purchase of products or services, do check them out first before you spend your precious hard-eared dollars.
If you have turned (or are thinking of turning) your passion into a business, and/or have a limited promotional budget, feel free to reach out to us for help or advice, because we have trod that path, and so have tried and tested many effective ways for stretching budgets for a great return on investment. We are excited to bring you Daddy and Family magazine. Happy Reading!
