Siblings Dan , Gee , and Rachel Atherton live and breathe mountain biking . The trio have achieved everything in the sport , having won eight downhill world titles and 49 world cups between them . The Athertons have been riding for the same racing team since 2007 , and they ’ ve already founded their own company Atherton Bikes – and as well as meeting them at the show you can see the bikes on stand G281 .
Sean is one of the most successful road cyclists of the 1980s , and one of the finest classics riders of all time . From turning professional in 1977 until his retirement in 1994 , he won nine monument classics , and 193 professional races in total . He won Paris – Nice seven years in a row and the first UCI Road World Cup in 1989 . Kelly was first to be ranked No . 1 when the FICP rankings were introduced in March 1984 , a position he held for a record five years . By total career ranking points , Kelly is the second-best cyclist of all time after Eddy Merckx .
Martyn is a regular host on GMBN and star of some extremely popular Youtube videos – his career took off in the mid 1990s riding for the mighty Volvo Cannondale team . His ability on a bike made him one of the UK ’ s best-ever MTB trials riders , but it was his partnership with Martin Hawyes that saw him gracing countless pages of MBUK , starring in best-selling videos including fan favourite Tricks & Stunts as well as masterminding the trials demos with many of the world ’ s best riders at the Bike Shows at the NEC .
Edinburgh-based Mark is a British long-distance cyclist , broadcaster and author who holds the record as the fastest person to have cycled around the world . He completed the 29,000 km route on 18 September 2017 , taking less than 79 days from start to finish . On 18 February 2010 Mark completed a quest to cycle the Americas , cycling from Anchorage , Alaska to Ushuaia in Southern Argentina . His epic travels have been made into a BBC television series – The Man Who Cycled the World .

Ben Foster aka TheCyclingGK is the current Watford first-team goalkeeper and a former England international . His love for cycling grew out of necessity when he got on a bike to rehab from a series of ACL injuries . As his YouTube alter ego name suggests he quickly got bitten by the bug and now regularly covers cycling in his videos which have a massive following of football fans and bike riders alike . Ben is a patron of Cure Leukaemia and has already managed to squeeze in their London to Paris ride between Premiership seasons , hinting at what ’ s to come when he eventually hangs up his keeper gloves for a nice pair of Rapha mitts .
Jaco is a member of the GB Para-Cycling team , making his debut in the Para-Cycling Track World Championships in 2015 . In the 2016 World Championships in Italy he won a bronze medal in the scratch race . Then in Milton , Canada in 2020 Jaco became a triple World Champion and picked up two silver medals . At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics he returned home with two golds in the Individual Pursuit and Mixed Team Sprint and a bronze in the Time Trial C1-3 .
London-born Pfeiffer Georgi is one of Britain ’ s rising road talents and Classics stars . The 21-year-old had a remarkable 2021 , she started the year recovering from two broken vertebrae , but by Xmas had been crowned British National Champion and had won her first-ever professional race – La Choralis Fourmies Féminine . She races for Team DSM , the Netherlandsbased UCI Women ’ s World Tour team formerly Team Sunweb .
Emily is a long-distance cyclist and author . Originally a cycle courier in London , she ’ s since cycled across Asia 2011 , crossed Iceland in winter and fatbiked the Alaska Highway , surviving temperatures as low as -40C ! Her need for ever-tougher challenges eventually led her to ultraendurance racing , and she has won the 4,000km Transcontinental Race across Europe , as well as the fearsome Strathpuffer 24 hour race , commonly agreed to be one of the world ’ s toughest MTB races .
