Terry and Bill believe that a legacy gift to a non-profit should play an important part in personal estate planning, offering the opportunity to have greater impact on important causes than can be achieved on an annual gift basis.

Both have been long-time Bay Area residents, having started and finished their careers in Silicon Valley. Bill spent most of his career in defense electronic system development, after electrical engineering degrees (BSEE Rice University / MSEE Stanford University) while Terry began her career as an elementary school teacher, eventually spending nearly 25 years in non-profit fundraising, mostly at The Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose. Both are now retired, which allows them to spend about half the year at their second home in Tahoe City, enjoying the many outdoor activities and social connections the Tahoe Basin affords.
