OKLAHOMA CITY - February,
the month of Valentine’s Day and
special date nights provides lots of
opportunities to find music to love in
the Oklahoma City metro.
First, critical to see at The Criterion
is Sirius XM Presents Killswitch
Engage & Anthrax — The Killthrax
Tour – on Feb. 10. Anthrax, a
thrash metal band formed in NYC
in the ‘80s is touring with metalcore
Killswitch Engage. It’s metal on
metal, in their second year of a
wildly successful combined tour.
February 16 brings to the stage
Luke Combs’ Don’t Tempt Me With
a Good Time Tour. Both concerts
at The Criterion, 500 E. Sheridan,
Oklahoma City (criterionokc.com,

Revving up at VZD’s, 4200 N.
Western Avenue, Oklahoma City,
The Mighty Orq and the Scott
Keeton Band will perform on
February 9. This is a trifecta night:
first The Houston blues musician The
Orq will perform solo, followed by
the Scott Keeton Band, then The
Mighty Orq joins the band for a
final all-star set.
The blues continue on February
15 with the smooth whiskey voice
of Watermelon Slim—An Evening
With. The man is stellar on the slide
guitar, and makes the harmonica
testify the blues.
February 17 brings Austin’s
Ruthie Foster. Playing blues
guitar and singing, the Grammy-
nominee’s performance will also
give a nod to soul, folk,
jazz, and gospel.
Hailing all the way from the
Isle of Man, singer-songwriter
Davy Knowles owns the stage
on February 18 with blues, rock,
and sizzling guitar riffs. Listen to a On Feb. 2, the Tower Theatre,

Band. February 10 brings The
Luke Combs Davy Knowles

Chicagoan singer and songwriter
extraordinaire Lalah Hathaway
will perform soul and jazz vocals
