ORU, Mabee Center stretch sounds across the city

TULSA, Okla. – On
Thursday, Feb. 15, world-
renowned violinist James
Ehnes will perform at the
John H. Williams Theatre
at the Tulsa Performing
Arts Center. The event
is sponsored by the Oral
Roberts Music Department
and tickets prices range
from $35-$100 with the
performance beginning at
7 pm.

James Ehnes
Ehnes is considered one
of the greatest violinists
of his generation and,
on numerous occasions,
performed with some
of the world’s most
respected conductors
including Sir Andrew
Davis, Ivan Fischer,
Roberston, and Runnicles.
Ehnes was a protégé of
fellow Canadian, Francis
Chaplin, and graduated
from the Julliard School
in 1997, where he was
recognized with the
Peter Mennin Prize for
Outstanding Achievement
and Leadership in Music.
Natalie Grant
At present, he is a Fellow
of the Royal Society
of Canada and was
appointed a Member of
the Order of Canada in
2010.
On Friday, Feb. 23, “The
ROADSHOW Tour” makes
a stop at ORU’s Mabee
Center for a night of
Christian music favorites
including For King &
Country, Matthew West,
Natalie Grant, Bethel
Music, Zach Williams, and
Social Club Misfits. Tickets
may be purchased at the
door for $10 and will be
available until sold out.
Doors open around 6 p.m.
with the event beginning
at 7 p.m.
