MUSKOGEE, Okla. – The
second annual G Fest
will take place on June
15-17 at Hatbox Field,
located at 4100 Border St.
in Muskogee. The festival
is multi genre, with heavy
Americana flare, hosting
four stages of music over
three days. The festival will
happen rain or shine.
According to The
Oklahoma Music Hall of
Fame Executive Director,
Jim Blair, complaints were
heard from last year’s
G Fest and they are
committed to improving
processes, transportation,
and the festival
experience. G Fest has
hired professional festival
management to ensure
G Fest is the best festival
around and enjoyed by all
who attend, and that they
have the right formula to
grow this event, year after
year.
New additions to G Fest
2016 Swon Brothers Meet & Greet
include The Oklahoma
Music Hall of Fame
Induction on Wednesday
night, the Leon Russell
tribute on Friday night,
and the Electric Dance
Music party on Saturday
night, featuring the band
Candyland. The main
stage at G Fest will start
later in the afternoon and
run later into the night, to
ensure there is shade for
the majority of the show.
More misting stations have
also been added to help
curb the June heat in
Oklahoma. The VIP area
has also been revamped
to help general admission
ticket holders be closer to
the main stage.
This year, G Fest’s
headliners are
Needtobreathe,
Creedence Clearwater
Revisited, and Blackberry
Smoke. There are many
Oklahomans on the bill on
