Next door neighbors
TULSA, Okla. – The Hunt
Club and The Vanguard are
situated right beside one
another at the intersection
of Main & Cameron in
downtown Tulsa. There are
obvious differences between
them, namely there’s hardly
ever a cover to enter The
Hunt Club, but nearly all
events at The Vanguard are
ticketed. However, they’re
similar in that they make
great landing spots for an
evening (or 12) in T-town.

CLAREMORE, Okla. – Even
though the Triple Crown is
over and done, there’s still
action at the Cherokee
Casino – Will Rogers Downs
location on Highway 20 just
east of Claremore.
Sure there’s plenty of ways
to double your money and
bet your bottom dollar,
but might as well do some
of that to the sounds of
fantastic, free live music! Will
Rogers Downs focuses on
country and red dirt music
offerings, and deliver the
best the region has to offer
like Travis Kidd (June 10) and
Bo Phillips (June 17).

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The
Auditorium 51 Concert Series
takes place high in the

keeps going with an evening
of music by Smooth Hound
Smith, with support from local
favorite folk singer Dana

Mercury rising
TULSA, Okla. – The Mercury
Lounge remains a beacon
for live, original music at
the corner of 18 th & Boston,
and this month it will host
retro-Americana outfit The
Blackfoot Gypsies on at 10
p.m. on Friday, June 30.
The Gypsies - guitarist/
singer Matthew Paige,
drummer Zach Murphy,
bassist Dylan Whitlow, and
harmonica player Ollie Dogg
- are out promoting their
most recent album, To the
Top, which came out in late
April.
To the Top wastes no time
making it perfectly clear
that the Blackfoot Gypsies
are locked and loaded to
