“ So Much For The Afterglow ” tour hits Cherokee Casino

WEST SILOAM SPRINGS , Okla . – On Thursday , June 22 , a trio of ‘ 90s rock bands stop by the Cherokee Casino in West Siloam Springs for a dose of nostalgia with the So Much For The Afterglow Tour .
Everclear headlines the event and will be joined by fellow rockers Vertical Horizon and Fastball . The show is set to start at 7 p . m . and has no cover charge , but is restricted to individuals 21 and older . The tour serves as a celebration and look back on Everclear ’ s most popular and significant record So Much for the Afterglow , which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year .
From Everclear ’ s official website : “ Bolstered by the record ’ s enduring popularity , Everclear are about to embark on a highly anticipated tour celebrating its milestone anniversary , with plans to perform the album from front to back , including some tracks the band has never played live .”

Since forming in 1991 , Everclear has released nine studio albums , been nominated for a Grammy , and reached platinum selling status . Their singles “ Everything to Everyone ,” “ I Will Buy You a New Life ,” and “ Father of Mine ” received considerable radio play over the years and cemented Everclear as a one of the definitive post-grunge bands of the late ‘ 90s and early 2000s .
Vertical Horizon found mainstream success in the early 2000s thanks to their album Everything You Want . The single “ Everything You Want ” reached the No . 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 upon release and eventually became the most played song in the year 2000 . Vertical Horizon went on to release six studio albums . Their most recent album , Echoes from the Underground , was released in 2013 .
Fastball fills out the ticket while hoping to promote their new record Step Into Light , which releases in late May , and is the band ’ s first album in eight years . The band formed in Austin in the mid- ’ 90s and made a name for themselves with All the Pain Money Can Buy . Their single “ The Way ” reached the top of the Billboard charts and was eventually nominated for two Grammy ’ s and an MTV VMA .
