Rustic Cuff Run raises funds, awareness
for Joy in the Cause

kid zone was provided with
giant blow up slides and
bouncy rooms for them to
play on as their reward. Food
and merchandise vendors
lined the sidewalks on one
end, while the super fun
band Mid Life Crisis kept the
energetic crowd dancing
and singing along.
TULSA, Okla. – Everyone
knows about Rustic Cuffs and
most women own more than
a few jewelry pieces created
to share between friends.
Over 1,000 people entered
this 5K race where runners
age 5-80 participated.
Entire families showed up.
Some even pushed babies
in strollers while other
children ran beside their
parents. There is no doubt
the beautiful values instilled
in these children will inspire
them to continue to give

This annual event is definitely
one to mark on your
calendar for next year, even
if you are not a competitive
runner. You can sign up for
a fun run, or walk if you wish.
There is a virtual run as well.
It is a great way to spend
an evening with your family,
make new friends, and help
others in need.
Although they were all
winners, here is a list of the
people that were the most
energized:
Joy in the Cause is a charity
that focuses on providing
compassion and bringing
joy, hence the name, to
others in crisis.
It’s no wonder these two,
along with RunnersWorld
Tulsa, got together to join
their hearts in creating an
annual event called Joy In
The Cause Rustic Cuff Run,
held May 12 in downtown
Tulsa.
the entire crowd with an
overzealous energy. Even
though it was a running-
oriented event, it was not
the athletic competition
that brought these
people together – it was
compassion, charity, and
pure heart.
This year’s theme was Beach
Party and there was no
shortage of beach balls
to set the mood. While
some played actual beach
volleyball, others hit giant
blowup balls from person-to-
person, daring each other
to keep them from hitting
the ground. As I scanned
the crowd, I saw nothing
but smiles and laughter.
Everyone there shared
the same purpose and
that was to raise money to
help others. The love was
overwhelming and engulfed

second and Chris Rice in
