TULSA , Okla . – When you think of ‘ 80s music , no one can forget ZZ Top .
As soon as Billy Gibbons played a few licks of his guitar , the opening song , “ Under Pressure ”, brought back memories of big hair and parachute pants . His voice was just as smooth as it was when they started nearly 50 years ago .
Dusty Hill played the bass with casual confidence and they moved with the same synchronized swag as their iconic beards . The crowd exploded as they melted through “ Waitin ’ on the Bus ” and “ Jesus Just Left Chicago ”. Husky , southern blues filled the auditorium and slapped smiles on every face there .
Creating an intimate connection with the crowd , Gibbons added a little Tulsa humor . He treated the audience like old friends sitting around his living room . All ages swarmed the stage and swayed to the alluring beats ; these 67 year olds still had their charisma .

It was simple , and after 60 minutes , the audience yelled for an encore . Fans thought “ LaGrange ”, and “ Tush » sealed the night when their pet dog appeared and followed the band in a prance across the stage . The streams in the aisles stopped , however , when they return with ZZ Top › s flavor of « Jailhouse Rock .» The no frills , all chill show proved that great musicians only need raw talent and a little fake fur .
