Tulsa ’ s on live music through holidays

TULSA , Okla . – It might be one of Tulsa ’ s most-well known and best-hidden local music staples , but finding Cimarron Bar takes a little bit of know-how for first timers in search of the live music bar .
Located at 2619 S . Memorial , the easiest way to find Cimarron Bar is to drive or ride headlong into the shopping center parking lot near S . Memorial Drive and E . 27th Street and go until you see motorcycles – there is always a slew parked out front . And not without cause . The bar is known for being “ biker friendly .”
Once you find the bar , you ’ re bound to find happy regulars inside and music coming from the stage as well as friendly bartenders tending bar .
“ We ’ re definitely known for our live music and we always try to support local music ,” said bartender Kaitie Myers . She not only slings drinks during shows , she ’ s a live music fan

herself , with plenty of knowledge about Tulsa ’ s up-and-comers who frequent the bar ’ s stage .

“ We have so many great bands play here and we all have a blast ,” said Myers .
While Cimarron Bar opens its doors for the Tulsa Blues Society ’ s monthly full-throttle
meeting every second Monday of each month ( excluding December ), the music on center stage ranges not only from blues but to rock & roll and red dirt as well , Myers said .
The month of December features Tulsa rockers The Addiction on Dec . 2 ; 151 on Dec . 15 ; classic rock party band Str8t Shot on Dec . 29 ; and an end-of-the year , pre-New Year ’ s celebration with Tulsa rock band Poster Child on Dec . 30 .
“ Poster Child brings one of our biggest shows here and they are amazing ,” Myers said .
