We’re entering the third week of school, and the residents here at CSU are finally beginning to settle in as the semester presses on. This week I had the opportunity to sit down with a select few students in Columbus State’s Riverpark Student Housing and ask them about their various opinions on living there. The students interviewed include:
A sophomore who studies music and lives in Columbus Hall Q: What is your favorite part about living on the Riverpark Campus? Koki: “Well actually I like the kitchens, because it’s bigger than the ones I had in Japan, and I like to cook often.” Q: What is your least favorite part about living on the Riverpark Campus? Koki: “I really wish we had more laundry machines!” Q: If you could change one thing about Riverpark housing, what would it be? Koki: “I really wish Columbus Hall had a grand piano like Broadway Crossing, just so I could practice more.”

A sophomore who studies criminal justice and lives in Broadway Crossing Q: What is your favorite thing about living on the Riverpark Campus? Jeffery: “Roommates! It’s neat to meet people from different walks of life and guys that share my interest in continued education.” Q: What is your least favorite part about living on the Riverpark Campus? Jeffery: “I really don’t have anything that I don’t like about housing to be honest.” Q: If you could change one thing about Riverpark housing, what would you change? Jeffery: “A TV in every single room!”

A sophomore who studies theatre and lives in Columbus Hall Q: What is your favorite part about living on the Riverpark Campus? Jessica: “I really like having a kitchen, because I don’t have a meal plan that covers me all the time, and I’m hungry all the time.” Q: What is your least favorite part about living on the Riverpark Campus? Jessica: “The clubs! The ones that play loud music on the weekends while I’m trying to sleep.” Q: If you could change one thing about Riverpark housing, what would you change? Jessica: “The cabinets in my bathroom. I wish we had them, or at least some shelving or something.”
