Q:
What are the top three courses on your
bucket list?
You know, I don’t have a bucket list of golf courses. I enjoy just
playing the game. It really doesn’t matter, it could be a nine hole
course, I may not like it after I play it, but its golf. A real bucket list,
jeez I don’t know. I think I’d like to get out to and play where they
played the Open, just to see the Bandon Dunes out there that would
be a trip and a half. Courses like Whistling Straits, which is so long;
it’s almost too long for the average guy to play. I just enjoy golf; it
doesn’t matter where I play.

Q: What’s
CSGA?
The comradery amongst all of the other officials that I see. Every day I go out
there, it changes over the years and it’s nice to see some new, younger people
getting in. I’ve been doing it for probably 15 years and I’m 71 but I see the same,
old faces all of the time and I see a lot of new ones this year which is good. It’s
good for the game too because we have to grow the game, that’s the important
thing. That’s one of my passions, to make sure it keeps on moving forward. And
the kids get the best from me and from the schools.
