T he First Tee of Connecticut is grateful to their donors and corporate sponsors who help make it possible to offer a wide variety of educational and leadership national opportunities for participants each year. Participants become aware of all the possibilities that surround them and their experiences are frequently lifechanging events. Over the past year, for example, participants from Connecticut were selected for the following events: Jason Liu played in the Nature Valley First Tee Open (Official Champions Tour Event) at Pebble Beach; Christie Williams attended the Life Skills & Leadership Academy in San Diego; Cromwell is one of many program locations across the state where The First Tee of Connecticut Amanda Barone and Christie Williams participants have fun while learning valuable life skills through the game of golf. participated in Auntie Anne’s Leaders & Entrepreneurs Forum in Orlando; Chase Skrubis was one of only 28 national First Tee participants to attend The First Tee’s Outstanding Participant Leadership Summit in Dallas; Chase had the opportunity to meet personally with President George W. Bush and The Golf Channel’s David Feherty! Big happenings in Dallas while Chase was there: The First Tee of Connecticut was very proud that one of their volunteers, Kristin Wirtanen, ݅
