Snedeker. Apparently on the 13th Phil looked at the guys in the group and asked if anyone was getting chilly. They all looked at him and said no. Phil says, “OK that’s good, but if you do get cold, you three can each borrow one of my green jackets!” The other Phil story, also courtesy of Mr. Andrade is one he heard through Brandt Snedeker. Mickelson and Snedeker were playing the BMW in 2013 and Brandt had pulled out of the hotel to go get something to eat. He was sitting at a stoplight when he hears a beep from the car next to him. It was Mickelson. Brandt rolls down the window and Phil says, “Hey, where are you going?” Brandt says, “to get something to eat.” Phil says, “What are you going to have to drink?” and Brandt answers, “I have no idea.” Phil says, “I don’t know what I’m going to drink either, but whatever it is I am going to drink it out of this!” as he reaches into the seat next to him and pulls out the Claret Jug and drives away going 70mph. Anyone will tell you that Phil is a little “out there” but he does have a great sense of humor and is one of the most cocky and funny guys; and that’s why he is so good and likable. THURSDAY I am not saying this is going to happen, but if Jordan Spieth can shoot another good round - really anything in the sixties this thing could be over. But on the same token it is always very hard to follow up an extremely good round with another one - and while Jordan is mature beyond his years he is still just 21, and he has some world class guys that are right behind him who are also going off early tomorrow - mainly Jason Day and Sergio… …I think we will know 2 things come tomorrow at this time, and it will be either Jordan Spieth is definitely going to win The Masters or Jordan Spieth might win The Masters… …Guys I would watch out for outside of Jordan would be Justin Rose - he has struggled but his game has been getting sharper and a very solid 67 today has him right there… …This really is the best week of the year as a golf fan and I cannot wait to see what unfolds. start the tournament and went on to win by 8. Jordan seems like he is well on his way to a similar winning margin by starting his tournament with 64-66 this year. Part of me is sad to see my dad’s name erased from that column in the record book, but on the same token I could not think of someone else’s name I would rather see replace it… …Ben Crenshaw - well if you saw that 18th hole on TV and did not need a hanky then you have no soul. That was one of the most touching things I have seen and Ben Crenshaw truly is one of the games all time great guys and great players. The two things I will always remember Ben for is his victory in 1995 after putting Harvey Penick to rest on the Tuesday before, and that comeback at Brookline in the 1999 Ryder Cup… …My mom and Julie Crenshaw were very good friends right up until the end and they are truly the best. A little part of Augusta is going to die without Ben out there and that silky smooth putting stroke. Well done, Ben - well done. SATURDAY Jordan Spieth - I honestly do not have enough superlatives to descr
