has stood the test of time
erhaps the most intriguing part about the game of golf lies in its simplicity. The rules of
golf address every possible issue one could encounter in nature, but its requirements for
the game are simple: Two tee markers to specify the teeing ground, and a round hole that is
four and a quarter inches wide.
Consider a sport like football. To play the game as it is intended, the field itself needs
to fit a long list of certain specifications. It requires a minimum of eleven players per team,
and likely a lot more, unless every player plans
on playing offense, defense and special teams.
While a great sport to watch, it is unrelatable
for the majority of us. Our weekend flag
football games are an entirely different sport
than what we watch on Sunday afternoon.
On the other hand, in golf, you have the
ability to play the same game the professionals
