The Cry From a Ghetto's Heart | 页面 35

WE can't watch the flowers grow, and never tend to the yard,

I know some hearts are scarred,

But brothers and sisters need to heal,

We all can live in a fantasy, but stay focused on what’s real,

BLACK POWER!!!

But purity is so hard to find these days,

Resurrect our souls and get them out of the graves,

Take off these mental slave chains,

Stop being hard and shed pain,

Then kick Amerikkka's ass & take names.......

Put your passion before the profits and fame,

Don't put your ego ahead of the game,

Don't let your words be disrespectful to where we silently name names,

We always in the right and everyone else is to blame,

We all must realize even lions can be tamed,

We love our queens in our poetry but then call them out of their names,

Live by the word, don't just read it,

Whether the Koran or the Bible just believe it,

We can't be lyrically conceited,

To God this makes us cheaters.......

Deceivers,

Unworthy leaders of this next generation,

Potential leaders doing nothing in a strong black nation,

Time wasting and stuff, I know we got it rough,

But sooner or later wake up and know that enough is enough,

I mean its a shame when something constructive can be turned into something destructive,

And what cuts the mustard and leaves me utterly disgusted,

Is.......................................................

Some of us are enemies to people we once trusted,

And some lose mind states over love and lusting,

Dis-respecting this holy ground with the bizzing and the buzzing.......

But I guess the respect is the hard part,

We clawing at each other like we in a barnyard,

If there's tension in the room, where does the fun start??????

Spreading mental food is suppose to be the fun part,

Don't put God in your mind, put Him in your heart,

And that's when things will turn for the better,

Bring back our family functions and our family get togethers,

Our love letters of truths and tales,

Positive words that we just can't fail,

Healing starts on the inside,

And acts of kindness is suppose to build pride,

But hating one another is just the beginning of genocide,
