Let go my ego.....
So that I can finally reach the masses,
From the lower to the upper classes,
Present a passion that could change a fashion,
Give a piece instead of a ration,
Add more instead of subtracting,
React more instead of being a distraction,
Become whole instead of a fraction,
No withdrawals in my transactions,
Giving will bring about my own satisfaction,
Let go my ego so that I may see the main attraction.......
Let go my ego so that I can reflect more concern,
Not wait for my fellow man or woman to be burned,
Let more dignity be earned,
Let a thirst for knowledge be yearned,
Let me become more concerned,
Let go my ego so that I can try to save the youth,
Let my words be the cure to that sweet tooth,
Let my words be the proof,
Death is not an option or an excuse,
We all don't have to shoot....

Just so that mother doesn't bargain her kids food for clothes,
Just so that our kids become men and women, not niggers and hoes,
Just so that father will try to raise his seed,
Just so that mother will gain the love and lose the greed,
Just so that child will know the power of a degree,
Just so that child will know the power of being free....

So that I will no longer sit still,
So that we can finally pay our bills,
Finally get that house on the hill,
