Introduction

This book of poetry is dedicated to everyone who ever knew me, as well as, those who ever doubted me. Throughout my life I have overcame many obstacles and I still continue to do so. If you have found yourself in a situation where you feel as if no one under-stand you and no one relates to your pain, then I am reaching out to say I understand. I was born and raised in a city where it was easier to believe you would see death before success. This book of poetry is the easiest way to share my times of happiness, sadness, and times of feeling completely lost.

As you take a moment of your time to read these poetical stories, please always keep in mind that we are never alone. For everyone who has hardships in life, there is someone out there who may be going through the exact same thing, or their life may be even worse. My poems speak on success as well as, failures, but the main factor is that I am still alive, and we all have that power to overcome and do the exact same thing. To have a strong belief in self is to have a strong belief in life.

The Cry from a Ghetto's Heart covers many topics that we all face, poverty, racism, police brutality, child support, single parent homes, love, hate, sadness, happiness, and so much more. The ghetto's are not the only places in the world that face these situations, however we are more likely to face them considering where we are from.

As you take the time to read these poems try to see them from a broader perspective. There isn't anything in here that is not true some-where in the world. In some ghetto, some suburbia home, and even those with wealth, we all face the same situations to some degree; we just chose not to speak on it as much. Sometimes money and power only makes your pains and struggles easier to hide from others.

Just to share a quick history of my life, I was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ. I attended private school most of my life, except college, I mostly grew up in a single parent home, even when there was a man present, I was raised in love, I had plenty family in my life, I have an older and younger brother, I was once married, I have children, I was loved despite that, I had plans to re-marry, I have had many good friends in life, I have had several cars, I have worked with many independent business including my own, and I am still sharing my pain... However the best part is, "I am alive."
