It is now official, President Trump is the first, First World leader, who has ambitions to become a Third World despot as he has demonstrated that the venerated American democratic constitution is to him a set of suggestions and not a set of rules to be followed.
That revered document, that was crafted by the American founding fathers, is a body of fundamental principles codified to establish the vision that was held regarding the future of America and as a federation of united states.
The document which was written and has been in operation since 1789 is acknowledged as the longest surviving written charter of government. The document that starts with the famous‘ We The People’ is about to be tested to the hilt.
The crafters of the document in their sagacity and good intentions could not have foreseen a Trump who is hellbent on destroying the document to achieve his personal dreams of grandeur to be adored like Emperor Bokassa.
It is an open secret that Trump envies the total power exercised by his pal Kim Jong Un, the supreme leader of North Korea, and his erstwhile friend Putin, who can declare unprovoked war on another country just because he can.
Trump cannot comprehend why, as the leader of the most powerful country in the world, he cannot act as he pleases and has to answer to a pesky bicameral system of government and a nosy judiciary.
In his first term, he chaffed under a restrictive constitution, but as a determined person will do, he identified various loopholes in the document that actually allows him to concentrate power to himself and bypass the‘ sacred’ separation of powers.
His biggest discovery, however, was that there was sizable electorate of rabid racists who could be led to commit crimes in the warped understanding that America was created for the whites, by the whites. The demagogue had found his calling.
His first term in office was shrouded with whispers of Russian interference, he refused to concede his loss in 2020 and his current

On The Hornet ' s Nest

win has the usual whiff of scandal as the country experienced unprecedented levels of misinformation.
A well-orchestrated smear campaign against his opponent, first Biden and then Kamala, and access to high tech capability made available by his group of the superrich smells very much like a typical African presidential campaign. Its personal not issue Based.
The other very African behavior Trump is demonstrating is the alacrity with which he is trying to undo whatever the past president did. Which means that America is going back to 2016 for a reset. A country cannot grow on the whims of a vengeful leader.
For a person that promised that he would end war in Ukraine and Gaza on day one in office, he seems to have bewildering expansion ambitions as he wants Greenland and Panama Canal since they fit into his warped world view.
He has once again withdrawn from the Paris Climate Treaty and also withdrawn from the World Health Organization, who he has never forgiven for making him look bad during the Covid outbreak.
He is poised to start trade wars with his allies and has angered religious establishments by his promise of mass deportation of immigrants and is about to test the birthright citizenship granted by the constitution thus threatening American families.
All this stirring of the hornet’ s nest happened on day one on taking office. Ukraine is still at war, there is an uneasy ceasefire in Gaza but a huge chunk of Americans is not sleeping easy as their compatriots start beating the war drums of racism.
With bated breath we are about to witness what‘ We The Billionaires’ have for America and we are about to appreciate just how resilient the American Constitution is or if this is the beginning of the end of Democracy as we know it!
