CPD data shows juvenile burglary problem

Police Department
recently
released
statistics
showing
burglaries were down
from December 2014
through Feb. 2015
from the same time
period in the previous
two years.
Those statistics also
showed that juveniles
were responsible for
much of the burglaries recorded by the
CPD. Here are some

Covington Mayor Ronnie Johnston visited Cousins
Middle School Friday to answer questions from students.
Questions ranging from “how much does a mayor
earn a year” to “what do you do about the haters?” were
part of the inquiries made in the Q&A session, featuring
roughly 100 students.
Georgia’s First Lady Sandra Deal visited Oak Hill Elementary School Wednesday morning as part of the Read
Across Georgia Month, a campaign that supports increased childhood literacy in the state.
First Lady Sandra Deal read a copy of the Pre-K book,
“TJ’s Discovery.”
