WILDLIFE WATCHING CHECK OUT THE LOCALS Be still. Be patient. Be ready. Prepare yourself to be amazed. TIPS FOR WILDLIFE WATCHING The County offers visitors frequent animal sightings, particularly at its wildlife conservation center—Aroostook National Wildlife Refuge. But please remember to use caution around wildlife. While moose are usually docile, resist the temptation to approach too closely. They have been known to charge people when they feel threatened. Wild animals should not be fed, startled, or included in a selfie. Jerry Monkman/EcoPhotography © Paul Cyr Photography VisitAroostook.com 31
