THE COUNTY | 2019-2020 BRING YOUR CLUBS...AND YOUR CAMERA. Experience well-groomed fairways and greens in the midst of stands of hardwoods, lake views, and sometimes even moose. The Mars Hill Country Club offers a tee area at the 6th hole on the side of Mars Hill Mountain, with the green located 160 vertical feet below! The course is also one of a few to be rated among the top 10 percent in Northern Maine by the New England Golf Guide. The Caribou Country Club offers terrific views of the rustic countryside and the wildlife—like partridge, deer, moose, geese, and ducks—that while their way onto the course. This course has challenging play for golfers at every skill level. Friendly staffers will be happy to offer tips for playing your best round ever. Head for the Presque Isle Country Club, home to the Annual Spudland Open Tournament—one of the major amateur golf events in Maine and held on the fourth weekend of July. Another excellent course is the Va Jo Wa, with the back 9 sitting high on a plateau overlooking Mt. Katahdin. Most courses are open May through October, but remember this is northern Maine so club open dates may vary depending on the weather. 18 HOLE COURSES 9 HOLE COURSES Aroostook Valley Country Club Fort Fairfield, ME/Four Falls, NB AVCC.ca Fort Kent Golf Club FortKentGolfClub.org Mars Hill Country Club GolfMHCC.com Presque Isle Country Club PICountryClub.com Va Jo Wa Golf Course Island Falls | VaJoWa.com Houlton Community Golf Club HoultonGolf.com Long Lake Country Club St. David | (207) 895-6957 Portage Hills Country Club PortageHills.org Caribou Country Club CaribouGolf.com Visit our website for more information about golf in the region. 38 The County is home to numerous spectacular golf courses that offer unique plays.
