tions and if they had these questions, then others out there have them too. I would never say that I am the expert on either of these topics but I do feel that I have great insight on these topics. I then started a blog that snowballed into this.
Then I get back to it for a few more hours. With success come a lot of sacrifice( usually sleep) and perseverance.
Does your husband support you?
Who is a Cosmopolitan Mommy?
A Cosmopolitan Mommy is a mother who is multifaceted. She tends to juggle many things on her plate while still remaining fabulous. The mover and shaker Mommy of today. She is sophisticated and worldly. The woman every man wants and the woman that little girls aspire to be one day.
How did you come up with the name?
I was looking for a word or a term that embodied who I was and who I aspired to be. I pondered over many different names but the name that stuck in my mind and heart was Cosmopolitan Mommy.
How do you create a balance between work and family?
Creating a proper balance is the toughest part. I am still working to create the perfect balance. I just take things day by day. You kind of have to when you have small children involved. The best way I find balance is by creating a schedule and a routine. I have many projects going on at the moment, so in order to get things done properly, I have to schedule out a block of time to complete things. I usually stop " working " and focus on the family and house from around 3pm- 8pm.
Yes, my husband is very supportive. He helps out where and when he can.
What other projects are you working on?
Oh where do I start? My husband and I have an entertainment production company( parent company to The Cosmopolitan Mommy). We have a few scripts in the works and a couple of web series in pre-production. There are also many plans to expand The Cosmopolitan Mommy in many ways. The first expansion will be creating a community for Cosmopolitan Mommies to gather and support one another.
What advice do you have for new moms who are finding it difficult to balance things?
I would just say hang in there. Every mom goes through it and the entire process is trial and error. Just don ' t be hard on yourself if you feel like you aren ' t doing all you want to do. Our lives drastically change when we bring a new life into the world. We have to rediscover who we are and redefine our goals. I never thought that I would create a Mommy Magazine but it just kind of happened. It was a natural progression for me. Don ' t be afraid to try something new.
