Coshocton ladies both earn Miss North Coast titles

Madison Miller and Aliah Williamson share a similar passion for veterans , and both now have Miss North Coast titles that will help them share their messages .

talent award and a few various scholarships this past Miss Ohio has set a new fire in my heart . God has always called me into the program , and I feel as though he isn ’ t calling me away from it just yet .
“ Although I knew that competing in an early preliminary competition would require me to relinquish my title as Miss Northern Ohio , I appreciated the opportunity to participate in another local preliminary program with the blessing of my previous local director . Fun fact : I am the 50th Miss North Coast as this specific program is celebrating their 50th year .”

“ I arrived at the venue in the morning to help everyone move their items into the event center and to set up my keyboard ,” Miller said . “ I know that I will always have a piano at the Miss Ohio competition , but I never know if I will have one at the local level . So I saved up every penny of a few paychecks last summer to purchase my keyboard . I had to bring it out to this venue , but I am thrilled that my talent still provided a connection to the judges and audience , even if it was through an electronic keyboard .
“ We spent all day rehearsing for the show , preparing ourselves for the interview and the show in the evening , and making memories . The overall ( informal ) motto of the Miss Ohio Scholarship Program is to ‘ make memories and have fun ,’ so

I strive to always achieve this for myself and be a source for those around me . As you can tell , competition days are always more than just competing . It ’ s a lot of chatting with other candidates and volunteers , playing lots of piano , and competition .”
In addition to her classes at River View , Williamson is a post-secondary student at Zane State and is on track to earn her associate degree by the time she graduates from high school . She also is the current Coshocton canal queen .
“ I wanted to do something bigger that was more scholarship based and had a social impact initiative ,” Williamson said .
Her competition included a six-minute interview , talent portion that she danced for , fitness routine , evening gown and on-stage question .
