BANKRUPTCY

City to obtain portion of Fairy Falls

By Tara Gracyk
Coshocton City Council members voted Monday evening , Sept . 27 , to authorize the service director , Max Crown to sign all documents necessary for the city to obtain Fairy Falls Drive . They also voted in favor of allowing Mayor Mills and Crown to sign the contract with Asplundh Tree Service .
Crown shared the mosquito spraying for the year has been completed . Mills took a moment to thank the sheriff ’ s office for the work they do , for showing up every day to protect the citizens of Coshocton County .
Resident James Elliot of Coshocton addressed council regarding a code violation letter he received stating he had violated a code for having a farm animal and that he must remove his animal , a miniature horse . Elliot expressed that he has spoken to his neighbors and no one voiced an objection to him having the pet and he has signed documentation from the neighbors stating it is not a problem for him to have the miniature horse .

Elliot also explained the miniature horse is a pet , and not a farm animal as it is very small in stature , only 2 inches taller than a Great Dane and that he has allocated an area on his property on Cassingham Hollow Drive for a pasture for the miniature horse . Council members agreed this is an issue that needs
discussed in committee meeting and that after they have discussed it they will get back to Elliot .
