Saturday , Oct . 9 from 5-7 p . m . at Lake Park on the walking path .
There will be a pet parade , costume contest , pet-adoption opportunities , petting zoo , pet trick contest , most laps contest and music by disc jockey Eric Fick . T-shirts and bandannas will be given to the first 100 participants . Those without a pet can come down to visit and walk a dog .
Registration will begin at 3 p . m . at the shelters . The registration fee is $ 20 , and proceeds will be donated to Friends of the Park .
