Advice for junior high students
By Karah Bilyeu theroarccs @ gmail . com
COSHOCTON - With a new school year comes a new grade for everybody . Students entering seventh grade at Coshocton Christian School face an even bigger adjustment from elementary school into junior high . CCS Seniors Jamin Miller and Niah Cody have some advice for the seventh graders to help them with this change .
Miller says , “ My advice to a seventh grader wouldn ’ t be to stick ‘ through it ’, but to absorb it . Learn as much as you possibly can , because even if you are a C + student and you take away something you learned in high school , just one thing , you will have learned more than a 4.0 student who studied but forgot everything they ever learned after the test . So yeah , I guess just absorb all good knowledge , and trust me you ’ ll never regret it later on . Absorb , don ’ t study !”
Likewise , Cody shared her advice to those entering junior high for the first time .
“ My advice would be to learn from those older than you , learn from their mistakes and also from their accomplishments . Life is crazy and just try your best to make it great and never give up on something that will make you better in life !” said Cody .

Communications class welcomes new school year
A new school year has begun and with that begins a new year for the Coshocton Christian School Communications staff . Beginning last fall , “ The Beacon ” has graciously used space in their paper to spotlight the work of students at CCS . The communications staff is grateful for the efforts of “ The Beacon ” to help the emerging writers of tomorrow . It is our wish this year that students will continue to grow in their writing and photography skills as they share the highlights of the school throughout the year .
